Note to informant: If there is a neutral way to say "hello", irregarding gender or age, this would work best. Otherwise, please indicate which hellos are being used, and how.

In the video, the people say "hello". Can you guess which word means "hello?" Listen again, and then we'll tell you. You can see if you were right.

Mnemonic Link: Can you think of something in English that sounds sort of like the way they say hello in TL? Can you think of something funny in English that sounds like the way they say "hello?" Can you imagine if people said that funny thing instead of saying "hello"?
Special Homework: Teach three people how to say "hello" in your TL. One of them could be your teacher.

The person will be so pleased and surprised at how clever you are! They will say "hello", you will say "hello," and then they will hang up.
